Just a couple of blocks from Pike Place Market on the corner of Western and Lenora is Anchorhead Coffee. A great way to start your java journey, Anchorhead is a specialty roaster based in Duvall Washington. They use fair trade, organic, and non-GMO beans from around the world and have a beautiful variety of coffees rotating on a weekly basis at their storefront. The Joe Chocolate Co. Mocha Bar at the corner of Stuart and Pike Place opened up its doors in Pike Place Market in 2019. The story of Joe’s Chocolate starts on the Pacific Crest Trail when a friend of the owners was having a terrible coffee withdrawal. But how does one get chocolate and coffee packed into a lightweight package that’s hiking friendly? A signature coffee-infused chocolate of course! But you have to visit the cafe to get the most of this wonderful company. While there’s an assortment of products from ice cream and booze to baked goods and dark chocolate espresso bark, their mocha is hot on the list as a must taste. From Mocha Arancia to Horchata cold brew, there’s sure to be something for everyone.
